The deceased was unconscious at the time of death and had been for the preceeding two days. A postmortem examination was held Saturday under the direction of Dr. RUSSELL, assisted by Drs. DUNDASS, TAYLOR, CROSBY, GRAHAM and WITHEY. The primary cause of death was found to be a fibroid growth of the unterus and appendages and the secondary cause pulmonary tuber- culosis. Mrs. BETHUNE was born in Canada, April 26, 1852, She came to Michigan in 1866, marrying a Mr. MORTON, who died some years later. In 1880 she was married to JOHN BETHUNE who now survives her. Besides a husband, three children, two daughters and one son, are left to mourn over her grave. The funeral occurred Tuesday afternoon at the family residence on north Harrison street. The sermon was by Dr. John Woods. Ludington Hive No. 14, L.O.T.M. of which the deceased was a member with $1,000 life insurance attended the services and escorted the body to the ceme- tery where it was deposited in a brick vault. The local W.C.T.U. also attended the funeral and went to the ceme- tery with the remains. ===========================================================================
