New Series No. 37 Thursday, February 1, 1883 A NEW COURT HOUSE. Whereas, on the 20th day of October, A.D. 1882, the board of supervisors of Mason county, Michigan, then convened in annual session, passed a resolution to submit to a vote of the electors of said Mason county, a proposition to borrow the sum of FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS for the purpose of building a Court House in said county, on land then owned by or to be donated to said county, and that fifteen several bonds of the denomination of one thousand dollars each be issued, the rate of interest to be paid not to exceed six per cent; said bonds to be payable after three years, and at any time within ten years thereafter, at the option of the county. There- fore, notice is hereby given that the question of borrowing the sum of fifteen thousand dollars for the purpose of building a Court House in Mason county, Michigan, as above set forth, will be submitted to the legal electors of said Mason county at the annual township meeting in April, A.D., 1883. The question of bonding the county for such sum and for such purpose is one that is, or ought to be, of interest to every taxpayer in the county. It is not too soon for the pub- lic to turn their attention to the question, and we invite cor- respondence from any or all quarters apropos of the subject.
