New Series No. 30 Thursday, December 14, 1882 (marriage notice extractions) Married - On the 14th day of Dec., 1882. MR. ALVA S. SPENCER and MISS MARIA SURPLICE, both of Ludington. REV. R. P. HEWITT officiated. So reads the announcement, and we find upon inquiry that the said A. G. SPENCER didn't care about the public knowing anything about it. MR. SPENCER is an old acquaint- ance of ours and pre-eminently a modest man; a sterling good fellow of good report and we are glad he has fallen into such good hands. The marriage ceremony was performed at the residence of the bride's sister, MRS. THOS. FORD. Several very handsome presents graced the table. The happy couple have gone on a tour and will visit friends and rela- tives in Detroit and in New York state. KEELER, of Milwaukee, at the Presbyterian chapel. Married - In Ludington, on the evening of the 23, MR. WILLIAM G. BRITTON, to MISS AUGUSTA BARTHOLMESS, both of Ludington. REV. R. P. HEWITT officated. MR. BRITTON and his bride are a genial couple, well calculated to travel life's journey together. A pleasant one to them.
