Wing (widow was named executrix but refused to give bond) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Will of DUNCAN DEWAR Be it remembered, That I, DUNCAN DEWA of Ludington in the County of Mason and State of Michigan, beinf of Sound and disposing mind, do make and de- clare this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking any and every will by me heretofore made. After the payment of my just debts and funeral charges, I give, bequeath and devise all my real and personal estate wherever situated as follows: To my beloved wife JANE DEWAR, I give, divise and bequeath all my real estate and personal property of which I Shall die Seized and possessed to be held by her during her lifetime or until her marriage. On the occur- rence of her death or on the termination of her widowhood by remarriage, the property then remaining shal belong in equal shares to our two Sons, JOHN and ALBERT. I give to my wife full power to Sell and convey, to deed and transfer, any and all of Such property, according to her own judgment and discretion without the interposition of any Court, and without any limitation upon her actions, trusting her to be guided by whatever may promote the welfare of herself and our boys. I do not at this time make any division of the property or make any provision for JOHN and ALBERT, because of my perfect confidence that their mother will wiesely use her means for their Educa- tion and advancement and their business interests in the Same manner as I would do, and have thus fare done by them. My Property at present consists of the Steamer John D. Dewar, my Store on James Street and various lots in Ludington; my residence, Some Real Estate in Pere Marquette and Amber, and wild land in Benzie County, Michigan, and various other real estate and personal property. I desire my wife to give my two daughters by a former marriage, MARGARET DeWITT and CATHARINE RYCKMAN one hundred dollars each. I hereby appoint my Said wife JANE DEWAR, executrix of this will and no bonds shall be required of her for the faithful performance of this trust. In Testimony Whereof I hereunto Set my hand and Seal this Sixteenth day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty Six.
