Danaher, Barbara Danaher, Mary Danaher, Catherine Danaher, Ann B. Quick Nellie Quick (grand daughter) execs: James E. Danaher; Michael B. Danaher -------------------------------------------------------------------------- WILL Be it remembered that I, PATRICK M. DANAHER, of Ludington, in the State of Michigan being of Sound mind and memory but knowing of the uncertainty of life do make this my last Will and testament. After the payment of my just debts and funeral charges, I bequeath and devise all my real and personal estate wherever situated as follows: First - I devise and bequeath all the property of which I may die possessed of to my wife MARY A. DANAHER to have and to hold the Same to her own use and benefit for the term of her natural life with full power of suposition of any and every part thereof by Sale, gift, devise or bequest, earnestly requesting her however in case of disposition of the Same by gift, devise or bequest, to be governed by the terms of this will as hereinafter expressed, modified only So far as may be necessary on account of occurrances, not now foreseen. Second - In case my Said wife Should die before me, at the time of her decease Should not have disposed of the property hereinbefore devised and bequeathed to her; I direct that my property be divided as follows that my executors hereinafter named invest the sum of five thousand dollars in interest bearing Surities, in their own names, to be held by them in trust for the purpose of collecting the interest thereon and paying the Same over each year to my Son WILLIAM H. DANAHER, during his life, the principal to be paid after the death of Said WILLIAM to his heirs. That they pay off and discharge a mortgage for $900. now held by MARY M. FILER, against the farm of my daughter ANN B. QUICK in Amber, Mason County, Michigan as her full portion of my estate. She having already being largely helped by me: That they pay the sum of three thousand five hundred dollars to my Son MICHAEL B. DANAHER, and the Sum of Five hundred dollars to my grand daughter NELLIE QUICK; and that all the rest and residue of my property be equally divided between my children, JAMES E. DANAHER, CORNELIUS D. DANAHER, MICHAEL B. DANAHER, BARBARA DANAHER, MARY DANAHER and CATHERINE DANAHER Share and Share alike except that in making Such division my Said Son CORNELIUS D. DANAHER in to be charged with the sum three thou- sand five hundred dollars, already received from me as an advance. Third - I commit the administration of this will to my sons JAMES E. DANAHER and MICHAEL B. DANAHER whom I hereby appoint my executors directing that they enter upon the performance of the trust, hereby committed to them without giving bonds. Fourth - Should any of the children hereinbefore named die before the decease of myself and my Said wife, I hereby direct that the Share that Such child would have received under this will de**** to the issue of Said child, if any Shall be left surviving, if not then to be equally divided between the Survivors of the Six who are to Share alike, viz; JAMES E., CORNELIUS D., MICHAEL B., BARBARA, MARY and CATHERINE DANAHER. In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and Seal, in the Presence of two witnesses, declare this to be my last Will this first day of February in the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two.
