R. Page & Co., Chicago - 1882 -67- MONROE A. AGENS, of the firm of M. A. AGENS & Co., cabinet makers, is a native of New Jersey, and came to Michigan in 1864. In 1872 he came to Ludington, from Kalamazoo, and after working at the carpenter trade for a time, opened a shop on Ludington Avenue. Until 1881 the firm was M. A. AGENS. At that time WILSON HOLMES took an interest in the business, and the name of the firm was changed to M. A. AGENS & Co.
