                 DIES WHILE SLEEPING
                 
         GEORGE MINOR, 56, Mason Resident,
            Succumbs; Was Member of
                 Masonic Order
                 
         Special to the State Journal
         
         MASON, May 20 - GEORGE MINOR, 56, retired lake
      captain, died Sunday night during his sleep. His
      wife tried to rouse him and found him dead.
         He was a Mason and Knight Templar.
         Besides the widow, he is survived by one son,
      JAY MINOR, former newspaperman now living in
      Washington, D.C.; one daughter, RUTH ANNE, a
      teacher in Howell; two brothers, NOTMAN and
      FRANK, both of Mason.
         Funeral arrangements have not yet been
      completed.
