NATHAN WOOD, owner of the boat, burned with it. The life saving crew of Pointe Aux Barques made the discovery. They noticed the wall of smoke and investigated, but only the charred bones of the fisherman were found in the hulk, which had burned to the water's edge. It is not known how the fire started. The unfortunate man was seen to enter the doomed craft Sunday night. He was sleeping on board his boat because his family are quarantined with scarlet fever. A widow and several small children survive. The Marguerita was a new boat, measuring 60 feet over all and valued at $4,000. WOOD had planned to make a trip to his nets Mon- day morning. ===============================================================================
