Thursday, November 25, 1880

        MR. JOHN McMULDROCH, salt inspector for this district, and foreman
     in Thomson Bros.' block at White Rock, died of consumption last Friday
     morning at 11 o'clock. The deceased was a much respected citizen of
     White rock and was in his 50th year at the time of his death. He had
     been attacked with hemorrhages at the lungs and other positive
     indications of the dreadful diseas of which he died only about four
     weeks previous. And, although consumption was hereditary in his
     family, he had strong hopes of recover, the very morning of his death
     was sitting up and consulting his wife in regard to going to Detroit
     in a day or two for medical treatment.
