              CHARLES H. FRENCH, of Bad Axe, died last
            week at the age of 91 years. Deceased had
            been married 57 years and leaves a wife and
            thirteen children. In 1891 he was granted a
            pension on account of disease contracted
            while a soldier in the Black Hawk war, but
            did not receive any money during his life-
            time. He lived in St. Clair county from
            1851 to 1871.
