    CASUALTIES: 

                   Bound up from Port Huron with coal when she
                 sprung a leak and foundered. Her crew of 8 escaped 
                 in the yawl. After reaching shore they were trans-
                 ported to Chicago aboard the schooner JULIA B.
                 MERRILL. It hadn't even been 30 days since the 
                 Daily State Gazette, of Green Bay, reported that she 
                 had been purchased by Holt & Balcom of Oconto for 
                 $10,500.
