A lady of many faces she was converted to a schooner; a steam screw and, finally, to a barge. Among her (mis)adventures: December, 1867 - (Bark) Ashore on Spectacle Reef & expected to be a total loss. November, 1869 - (Bark) Ashore in Hammond's Bay September, 1871- (Bark) Dismasted on Lake Superior. Towed to Chicago for repairs. October, 1873 - (Schooner) Collision with canal scow. August, 1878 - (Schooner) Lost her sails in a gale. October, 1885 - (Barge) Run into by the steam-barge that was attempting to take her in tow. October, 1890 - (Barge) Run into and sunk by the steam- barge BUSINESS in the St. Clair river. Raised. 1891 - 2 masts, 278 gt. November, 1892 - Ashore at North Point, Alpena. Cargo of 50,000 bushels of oats were a total loss. Repairs in 1874, '75, '78, '89 & '92. Doesn't appear in Inland Lloyds, 1907.
