                   Bound from Sandusky to Manitowoc with coal when she was
                 overcome by a furious gale. She headed into Good Harbor
                 Bay and let go her anchors with all hands working at the
                 pumps. One of her anchor chains parted and she went ashore
                 where she became a total loss. Crew taken off by the life-
                 saving crew from Manitou Island.
