McGregor TONNAGE: 42.69 (om) DIMENSIONS: 55.42 x 17.33 x 5.58 CASUALTIES: 4 (all) Following a storm that swept the Great Lakes Capt. Ward, of the steamer CHAMPION, came upon the wrecked schooner OCEAN six miles north of St. Joseph. Her hatches were off, mainmast had been carried away and her sails were in shreds. He reported that she had the appearance of being capsized and righted again. There was no sign of her crew. One source says she was driven aground and wrecked on March 24, 1844 south of south pier, St. Joseph, MI. Recovered ?
