DIMENSIONS: 103 ft CASUALTIES: 0 SURVIVORS: 0 Built for Erie Isle Ferry Co., Put-in-Bay, OH to carry passengers and automobiles to the islands. With the decline of auto traffic in 1950 the Mystic Isle was sold and went to salt water. She would be sold twice more before 1979 when she was sold to a Panamanian citizen who converted her into a "fishing boat". In 1982 the Mystic Isle was seized while the owner attempted to smuggle marijuana into the United States. The Air Force had planned to use her as target practice in 1985 but bad weather cancelled their plans.
