TONNAGE: 172 t. LENGTH: 112 ft BEAM: 25 ft DEPTH: 9 ft CASUALTIES: 0 SURVIVORS: - May 1, 1851 - Loaded with corn from Chicago, was caught in a violent storm at Buffalo. Dragged her anchors and went ashore outside the south pier. 1853 - sold by Messrs. Richmond to W. F. Roelfson, of Detroit, for $8,000. Aug 19, 1853 - Sprung a small leak and wet her wheat cargo during a gale while en route from Detroit to Buffalo. 1855 - Sprung a leak on Lake Michigan. Apr 1856 - Collision with propeller ROBERT H. FOSS on Lake Michigan. Nov 1862 - Lost centreboard on Lake Erie. July 1863 - Shrouds & fore-rigging damaged in gale off the Manitou islands, Lake Michigan. Apr 9, 1869 - Was loading railroad ties at Dean's Pier when a strong gale blew up. Attempted to make deeper water, rather than be smashed against the docks, but was blown broadside to the beach and stranded.
