Robert Richardson, Oswego MASTER: Same TONNAGE: 147 t. DIMENSIONS: 93 x ? x ? CASUALTIES: 0 of 7 Enroute from Oswego to Cleveland with 1,000 barrels of salt when the MILAN began taking on water. The pumps were unable to keep pace with the inrush and, after an unsuccessful attempt to run her ashore, the MILAN went down barely giving the crew time enough to escape in the small boat. The wreck of the MILAN was discovered in 2005 sitting upright with both masts still intact.
