CASUALTIES: none mentioned During a blinding snow storm the LAFRINIER ran on Hog Island Reef and was scuttled to prevent her from pounding to pieces. Her crew abandoned her and, after pulling about twenty miles through a heavy sea, reached Mackinaw City.
