                   Left Oswego in the afternoon with 272 tons of coal
                consigned to P. Burns at Toronto.  Reports stated that
                she was very low in the water when she departed and carried
                old canvas.  A storm swept the area that night and the next
                day quantities of wreckage began coming ashore at Coe's
                Landing, six miles below Oswego.
