               Waterlogged and abandoned by her crew, the HOPKINS
             reportedly drifted for a week before sinking. Crew 
             rescued by passing propeller ALVA C. DINKEY.
               
               Libeled by the B. & O. Coal Co. and sold for $2,200
            at auction in November, 1898.
            
               Out of Cape Vincent, N.Y.
