NOYES. Crew of the NOYES, Capt. George Donovan, were rescued by the Charlotte lifesaving crew. Loss of Life: Capt. Timothy Donovan, master Jerry (Jerome) Donovan, mate, son of Capt. Donovan John Donovan, engineer James Donovan, engineer (both were cousins of the captain) Thomas Corcoran, wheelsman Daniel Biglow, wheelsman Thomas Tyler, fireman - Buffalo John Dixon, fireman Mrs. Brown, steward - Buffalo (all except Tyler and Brown were from Oswego) Capt. George Donovan would later identify wreckage as having come from his father's vessel. Capt. Timothy Donovan left a widow, Catherine (Reardon) Donovan, and 4 children.
