        Oct. 1893  As THEODORE S. FASSETT, ashore near Cheboygan, Lake
                   Michigan.

     10 Nov. 1898  As THEODORE S. FASSETT, was in tow of steamer CURTIS,
                   parted her towline during a heavy northwest gale and
                   went ashore 7 miles south of the Sand Beach life-saving
                   station, Lake Huron.  Capt. Jerome Kiah and the Sand
                   Beach life-savers took off the crew of 7 and the
                   captain's young son.  Heavy bottom damage.  Rebuilt in
                   1899 by Davidson of West Bay City, MI.

       June 1907   As THEODORE S. FASSETT, ran on the reef at Rawley's
                   Point, Lake Michigan. Got off.

    25 Nov. 1925   Downbound from Pigeon River to Muskegon in tow of the
                   210 foot steamer HERMAN H. HETTLER when the towing post
                   tore out of the steamer during a.  Due to high seas
                   running the HETTLER could not make the turn to pick up
                   the barge.  The J. L. CRANE was seen to ride up on a
                   huge wave and then plunge to the bottom.
