Edward McDonald, Owen Sound, Ont. MASTER: same TONNAGE: 248 gt, 210 nt DIMENSIONS: 135 x 30 x 10 CASUALTIES: 5 (all) Bound Kingston to Buffalo when she foundered off Amherst Island. May, 1915 - Delivered cargo of square timbers to the Dock & Mill Company, Tonawanda on May 18th. Minor collision with the steamer McWILLIAMS when off Bar Point which tore the schooner's nose off. Had been purchased by Capt. Edward McDonald just a couple of weeks before. August, 1915 - Spent five days being tossed around Lake Erie by storm after storm. Arrived at Port Colborne on Aug. 6th after being reported as lost off Erie, Pa. April 19, 1893 - Sunk at the Lighthouse Slip, Chicago, during a severe storm by the steamer CITY OF NAPLES. The stern of the steamer broke loose from her moorings and battered the smaller schooner. Raised by Capt. J. S. Dunham who, after a few months, became anxious about his bill and had the schooner sold at Marshal's sale. Purchased by Capt. J. S. Dunham. November 4, 1886 - Bound Buffalo to Chicago with coal when she struck a rock and sank near Detroit.
