Pringle, man- ager of the Pringle Barge Lines and a veteran Great Lakes sea- man, and two companions from Detroit were instantly killed to- day when their automobile col- lided head-on with a truck near here. Capt. Pringle's companions were identified as Robert Murray and Noble Baxter, believed to be en- gineer and first mate, respec- tively, on a Detroit vessel. Capt. Pringle was a member of a family noted as sailors. At the time he was commissioned, he was the youngest captain on the lakes. He was 43 at the time of his death. The automobile in which the men were riding collided with a truck driven by John Meyers, De- troit. Meyers was taken to the hospital suffering from shock. ===========================================================================
