           WINDSOR (CP) - CAPTAIN JOSEPH EDWARD MANON, 79,
        at one time the youngest captain on the Great Lakes,
        died Saturday.  He started sailing on the Great Lakes
        when he was 14, and at the age of 24 was given command
        of his own vessel.  He served for many years with the
        Mullen Coal Shipping Company.
