The WRIGHT was then towed into port. Damage about $400. NEWS OF THE WEEK: Michigan -------------------------- Judge Blodgett has decided adversely a petition of the GOODRICH TRANSPORTATION CO., for a limitation of liabilities growing out of the loss of the Str. ALPENA on Lake Michigan last Oct. The claims are mostly made by administrators of persons who lost their lives by the sinking of the vessel. The company petitioned to have its liability limited to its interest in the lost steamer. Ed Coates, a fisherman, was knocked off his boat at Port Austin by the sail boom and drowned between the docks. He was 20 years of age. ==========================================================================
