New Series No. 34 Thursday, January 10, 1884 Considerable ice in Lake Michigan, but not enough to prevent the Goodrich and F. & P. M. boats from making their regular trips. The Life Saving station was closed on Dec. 31st and will remain closed till April 1st. Capt. Broadbent says that the same crew will be engaged for the season of '84. For some reason, there is an impression abroad that freight from Chicago or Milwaukee cannot be had by the Goodrich Co.'s boats at the present time.
