LEVI P. MANN Capt. Levi P. Mann died this morning in his apartments in the Rice Block in St. Joseph of consumption, having been a sufferer for many years with the dread disease. He is a member of Occidental lodge F. and A.M. and the funeral will be in charge of that body. Capt. Mann was well known in Benton Harbor as well as many other towns in the state. Among the boats known here that he commanded were the Puritan, Skylark, Messenger, Corona, City of Louisville, Chicora, City of St. Joseph and others. At one time he held the highly responsible position of superintendent of life saving stations for this district. He was in the navy during the Civil War. He has been an invalid for many years and has failed rapidly of late. ===========================================================================
