Wednesday, 1 June 1904

         WILLIAM WITHERAL, the oldest of four generations,
       died Monday, May 23, eighty years, two months and
       fifteen days. The funeral was held from the house
       Wednesday. The interment was at west side cemetery
       beside his wife, who died several years ago. MR.
       WITHERAL wss very active for a man of his years
       and always worked hard. He was a veteran soldier,
       a member of C. B. Wheeler post and was chaplain
       of the post for several years. He was a well known
       and honored citizen and was also a soldier of the
       cross.
