              A $5,000 Poor House Burned.
              
              HARRISVILLE, Oct. 30. - The Alcona county poor farm
           dwelling house burned yesterday at 5 p.m.  The fire was
           caused by a defective chimney. Nearly all the contents
           were saved. The building cost the county about $5,000.
           The insurance expired a short time ago and had not been
           renewed.
