R. Page & Co., - 1883 [276] GEORGE L. COLWELL is a native of Chenango County, New York, and when a young man began lumbering in a small way in connection with his brother, B. S. COLWELL. In 1866 he came to Harrisville and engaged in lumbering, the firm being WESTON, COLWELL & Co. The history of MR. COLWELL’s extensive business is elsewhere fully given in this work. MR. COLWELL was married at Addison, New York, May 18, 1846, to MARGARET A. WELDON. They have two children, MR. L. A. COLWELL, a prominent business man of Harrisville, and MARY L., wife of JOHN C.
