It gives me much pleasure, that you are again apointed with your Family & Friends - and, to receive a letter stated at my native Brookfield. I wish very much to visit it - but, Sir, cannot __tate when I shall be so highly gratified - This is the second day post Commencement - the crowd begin to disperse - 'Tis a very fatiguing spell with us - much officer business to attend to, with persons from a distance. The day previous to Commencement, I had a call to attend a Rule of Court distance from this about ten miles - _____ Aaron Hutchinson Esq'r - I best him too, - obtained my victory & _____ with flying colors - He made use of much art & intrigue to gain his part - much too, as a gentleman would have di___ed, knowing me to have been a youngster at the business - Inclosed, Sir, I send you a Catalogue of the different Classes graduated from this College - I am sorry they were not printed on better paper - but none could be obtained near of a suitable use & better quality - Be kind enough to remember me & respectfully to give your Family & my inquiring Friends I am, Sir, with much Respect & gratitude, your Obed't Sev't, Don Gilbert
