He was taken to the asylum May 1, 1895, and had been there continuously since. MR. GARVEY was a native of County Kerry, Ireland, and came to the Falls the fall after the famous Glasgow mills fire, back in 1819. Curiously enough his first job in this country was on the brick work of the Northampton Insane Asylum where he has just died. MR. GARVEY was married when a very young man, and had nine children. MRS. GARVEY died in 1890, and singular- ly enough not one of his nine children survives and only one grandchild. One son was drowned most tragically while working on the dam in 1884. The body will be brought to the Falls for burial. The funeral will occur from St. Patrick's church Sun- day afternoon at 2:30. [Transcriber note: his death record says he was 83 years of age and his residence was at South Hadley.] ================================================================================
