The Boston Evening Transcript
Thursday, 18 April 1889


        REV. M. E. BARRY, the pastor of St. Mary's 
      Roman Catholic Church in Northampton, died 
      last evening. MR. BARRY was born in Boston,
      June 27, 1844, and was educated in the public
      schools of that city, St. Charles College at
      Ellicott City, Md., and Bonaventure College
      at Allegheny, N.Y. He was ordained for the
      priesthood and began his work in Springfield,
      and from there went to Northampton.
