CHARLES T. PARSONS' big barn on Maple st. was the first fire. In the barn were 75 tons of hay, 225 cases of tobacco and machinery. The loss will be $4500, which is mostly covered by insurance. This is the fourth fire that PARSONS has had within a few years. The second fire was at PURCELL'S store, Leeds. The roof was burned off. Loss $2000, covered by insurance. No cause is given in either case. ================================================================================
