KIDDER, a well-known resident of Springfield, Mass., and traveling salesman for a Boston firm, was shot and killed last week by his half-brother, DWIGHT, aged 17. DWIGHT grew very angry a few days before because CHAS. said it was gross carelessness to let their sick father go out on the street. The night be- fore DWIGHT called at his brother's house and asked him if he was ready to take back his words. CHARLES told him to go home, and tried to push him from the door, when the boy drew a pistol and shot CHARLES through the heart.
