                    Dear sir  yours of the 8 i received
                    Last night and was glad
                    to here from you  we are
                    all well But Owen Jones he
                    is not very well  he is at falmouth
                    in the Hospital  i am sorry
                    to here that the sore throat is
                    so bad out thare and that
                    E Jones has Lost three of
                    his Children it makes me
                    very uneasy about my Children
                    and if they get sick i want
                    you to do your best for them
                    for i trust in your skill  we
                    had the honor of having Senator
                    Garret Davis of this State
                    to Eat supper with us on a
                    tin Plate and Drink his

                    Coffee in a tin Cup with
                    us poor Soldiers  After Super
                    he spoke to us for a half
                    an hour the very Best of
                    Doctrine which made us feel
                    very good  he rejoices in the Election
                    of Semore of New York and
                    he read some extracts of his
                    speech to us  he is of Welch
                    Decent and was very glad to 
                    meet so many of his Welch
                    friends and when he left us give
                    all a hearty shake of his hand
                    We are very Bussey Building
                    our Block house which we
                    will Complete in a few
                    days  We have got all
                    the timber on the ground
                    and are preparing to frame
                    to day  When finished will make
                    a very good Defence

                    John Watkins came to us
                    yesterday and is getting
                    along very well  Please
                    tell his folks that he
                    is with us once more
                    our Capt is apointed
                    Assistant Surgeon of the
                    Rigment as the Surgeon
                    is under arest for Bad Conduct
