Francis J. Wood to Mrs. Henry W. Wood =========================================================================== Nov 29, 1944 Dear Mom, I am just dropping you a little note to let you know that I am still alive. We came back from our Pacific cruise in pretty fair shape. After bivouacing a few days we came up to Camp Cook again. I saw Johnny Deckert the other day and we talked over old times. Johnny hasn't changed at all in my estimation. Joe Kosper isn't in this camp anymore. He was transfered to some Prisoner of War camp in Arizona. I went to church last Sunday. I hope this will satisfy you for a while. Incidently don't worry about me going broke for a while. I won quite a bit this month. (approximately $130) Tomorrow is pay day and I will send another $100 as soon as I get chance to register a letter Frankie Joe ===========================================================================
