Uncapher, who owned the land, and is located in the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section 22 in township 34 north, range 1 west (Oregon Township). This cemetery was surveyed by Joseph N. McCormick, engineer, and contains 270 lots. Being about one-fourth mile north of Grovertown, and a good gravel road on the east line of it and near the Grover- town United Brethren Church makes the distance very short in going from the church to the cemetery. Mr. Uncapher has taken much pride in keeping this cemetery in a neat manner, which shows that there are those who obey the living and respect the dead. Many dear friends have been laid to rest in this cemetery, with tombstones and monuments placed at the head of the graves there to remind their friends of this world that they are sleeping beneath the sod, that they have gone on before, gone to that sleep from which there is no return.
