Toliver May 19, 1913 - Feb. 3, 2002 CLEARWATER, Fla. - Maye E. Toliver, 88, of Orleans died Sunday, February 3, at the Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla. She was born May 19, 1913 in Orange County, Indiana, to John and Blanche (Russell) Magner. She married Earl Toliver August 17, 1940, and he survives. She was co-owner, with her husband, of Toliver Oil Products in Orleans until they sold the business and retired. She was active in the business and cultural growth of Orleans, having served in several organizations. She was presently president of the Theta Epsilon Associate Chapter of Phi Beta Psi. She was past secretary-treasurer of State Sorority. She was a 50- year member of the Royal Neighbors and Past Oracle.She volunteered to assist many older members of the Lodge. She was a member of the Bedford Elks Lodge. She served as secretary of the Orleans Chamber of Commerce for many years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Happy Eight Bridge Club. She was a distinguished member of the Indiana Trapshooters Hall of Fame. She is survived by her husband, Earl Toliver of Orleans; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Robert Burgess of Crawfordsville; one brother, Rex Magner of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and two sisters. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans, with Bro. Mike Williams and Bro. Lewis Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Orleans. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A Phi Beta Psi memorial ceremony will be conducted at 7 p.m. Pallbearers will be: Devin Diech, Aaron Diech, Joe W. Skomp, Don McClintock, Brian Burgess and Cecil Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are: Leon Johnson, Lee Johnson, Steve Lantis and Charles Kielhorn.
