Born Nov. 9, 1962, he was the son of JESSE B. and DONNA KAY WHITE LANE. He had been married to BETH JOHNSON. He was a member of Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post 250. He was previously employed at Carpenter Body Works, Dana Corporation and INDOT. Survivors include three brothers, DAVID LANE, JIM LANE and BOB LANE, all of Mitchell; one nephew; many children, whom he considered his own, and for whom he was a positive father figure; his longtime companion and caretaker, ANALEE HANOVER of Orleans; eight grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, HEIDI HANOVER; one niece; one sister-in-law; and his grandparents.
