Born on Dec. 7, 1947, near Roland, he was the son of WALTER and CLAIR STACKHOUSE HALLAWAY. He grew up on the family farm where he learned to repair everything, leading to his career as a master mechanic. He attended West Baden and Springs Valley schools. He was a United States Air Force veteran, who served during the Vietnam era as a crew chief for high-performance aircraft. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, GLENDA; son, BRANDON HALLAWAY of California; stepson, WES GATES of California; one brother, PAUL L. HALLAWAY of West Baden Springs; four sisters, PATSY QUINN and BETTY RADTKE, both of French Lick, and PATTY ALLEN and TERRI GROMER, both of West Baden Springs; and two step-grandchildren.
