Born Sept. 28, 1941, in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of RAMONA [COPE] and BYRON CLAY. She graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor of science in education and attended Indiana University where she majored in accounting. She was inducted into the Beta Alpha Psi and Beta Gamma Sigma honorary accounting fraternities. She taught at Scipio Elementary School. She is survived by her husband, DR. JOSEPH E. ELLIS; her daughter, MARY ELLIS of Windermere, FL; and her brother, B. JAN CLAY of Venice, FL. Visitation will be at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home on June 28. Times of the service and visitation are pending.
