ROOKER has been appointed guardian of JOHN W. PLUMMER, a person of unsound mind. MARTHA TAYLOR demands $200 from the Pan Handle railway company, damages for eject- ment from train. Dr. H. R. ALLEN, who sued on note, has obtained judgment against the Helena & Iron Mountain Railway company and others, for $7,703.14. MRS. LOUISE GEIER demands a divorce from JULIUS GEIER, alleging failure to provide and ill treatment generally. They were married in August, 1875. MOLLIE HARTER sues for divorce from IRA HARTER, alleging adultery with KATE HAGERTY. It is a cold day when a HARTER doesn't figure in some one of the numerous courts. The federal officers have accepted the compromise offered by FRED. HOLTZ, of Warrick county, charged with a minor vio- lation of the revenue law. A light penalty was imposed. SALEM C. BURNETT sues WM. HAYES for $1,000 damages, alleging that defendant sold to plaintiff under misrepresentation a tract of land in Cahill county, West Virginia, which did not belong to him. Wednesday night CHARLES HINER "roped" D. W. PATTERSON into the purchase of a worth- less ring, for which he was arrested. He was heavily fined Yesterday under the ordinance providing penalites for swindling tricks. MRS. MARY KINNEY, of East Michigan street, has been arrested as defendant in surety of peace proceedings instituted by FRED T. PRESTON, who, with his wife, have charge of the premises occupied by FOSTER ALLERDING, of St. Joseph's church. Claim is made that the defendant has threatened their lives, and a hearing will be had on Thursday next before Squire FEIBLEMAN. MRS. KINNEY asserts that the complainants want to get her out of the way, and she talks very ugly about FOSTER and the influences which she alleges control him. ==========================================================================
