Cases will be argued and determined in open Court today. Circuit Court. - Criminal Docket - JAMES FERGUSON, on trial for grand larceny, was acquited on the plea of insantiy. The trial of NICHOLAS WOOD, for stealing a cow, is in progress. COMMON PLEAS COURT - In the case of Dr. FELL the Court delivered its decision yesterday. It will be remembered that the charge against Dr. FELL was "procuring an abortion," and that at a former trial a jury found him guilty and sentenced him to thirty days in the county jail, coupled with a fine of fifty dollars. A motion for a new trial was made and granted. The trial this time was before His Honor Judge BLAIR, and his decision, as announced to-day, simply affirms the verdict of the jury. It is reported that His Excellence the Governor has remitted that portion of the penalty which in- volves a restraint of his personal liberty. Commissioner's Court. - MR. KIMBALL informs us that, so far as his Court is concerned, yesterday passed without the commission of crime. Pity that such was not a more common report. In the United States Court, soon to sit here, we are informed a formidable docket awaits the functionaries of that Court. However, Judges DAVIS and McDONALD are the sort of judicial officers to dispatch business, while District Attorney HANNA is known to be a Prosecutor of more than common energy. ==========================================================================
