Born Dec. 22, 1922, in Crawford County, he was the son of the late Roscoe and Mollie Eden King Lane. He farmed for many years, raising livestock, worked full time digging herbs and roots and, in the winter, trapping and attended Stockwell United Methodist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Wise and Dorothy Imogene Lane, who died in infancy, and two brothers, Charles and Laverne Lane. Survivors include a brother, Coy Lane of Stockwell. Visitation is Wednesday, June 25, after 4 p.m. at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston. Funeral is Wednesday, June 25, at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial Thursday, June 26, at 1 p.m. at Wickliffe Cemetery. ==========================================================================
