Lane Newspaper: Springs Valley Herald Publication Date: October 2008 (exact date unknown) ========================================================================== Funeral services were conducted Monday at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli for Clyde S. Lane, 88, Bloomfield, formerly of Wickliffe, who died Thursday at Westview Manor in Bedford. Born Sept. 20, 1920, in Wickliffe, he was the son of John R. and Fannie Rodimel Lane. He married Mildred E. Smith on Aug. 28, 1943, and she survives. He was retired from General Motors in Speedway, and he was a Army veteran of World WarII. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 6160 in English, and he was of the United Methodist faith. Survivors include his wife, Mildred E. Smith Lane of Bloomfield; one son, Clyde "Richard" Lane of Bloomfield; one granddaughter; three great- grandchildren; and one brother, Dallas Lane of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Howard Lane, Jerome Lane, Oscar Lane and Wheeler Lane; and two sisters, Mary Atkins and Wyoma Wright. Officiating the service was Bro. John Bye. Burial was in Taswell Cemetery. McAdams Mortuary in Paoli was in charge of arrangements. ==========================================================================
