JAMES HOGAN, 65 years old, veteran lake captain, died suddenly yesterday morn- ing from an attack of pneumonia at his res- idence, 3538 West Monroe street. He became sick last Wednesday. CAPT. HOGAN had lived in Chicago about 35 years and sailed the lakes until his retirement about five years ago, when he went into the employ of the Chicago City railway company. His last boat was the Albert Soper. He was a member of the Lake Masters, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Knights of Honor. He leaves a wife and two daughters. The funeral will be held on Monday from the residence, with services afterward at Our Lady of Sorrows church.
