        JAMES ADAMS

        Farmer, Sec. 15, T. 84, R. 7;  Born October 1812 near Perth, Scotland.
        In 1853, he came to St. Charles, IL; in 1854 came to Kane Co., IL; in
        1864 removed to his farm in Linn Co., IA (105 acres). Married ANN MILLER
        in 1833 (she was born in 1807 in Scotland) and had five children, three
        of which were living at  time of printing: JOHN, ELIZABETH, and CHARLES.
        They were members of the Presbyterian Church.  Marion PO.
