MALLORY, 89, who brought out the first ship, the Ketchum, for Pickands, Mather & Co., died today at his home in Avon Lake, Fla., according to telegraphic information received here. CAPTAIN MALLORY continued to sail until 1905, when he retired and went with his daughter, Miss ELEANOR MALLORY, to live at Avon Lake. She for many years was a teacher in Central High school here. He is also sur- vived by a son, Dr. MALLORY, engaged in re- search work at Harvard university. A nephew, CAPTAIN F. H. MALLORY, is master of the Farrell, of the Pittsburgh Steamship company fleet.
